Now is the time to court your international friends. The Pound and Euro are both in a very strong position here in our country. An article written in the Orlando Sentinel 12/10/07 shows that the pound has the buying power of $2.03 toady and the Euro is at $1.46. So lets get the word out to all our European visitors that we have some great bargins on Real Estate here in Central Florida. Think of that a home worth $500,000 to us would cost someone from England less than $250,000 what a deal.

Florida: Still a Great Place to Live an article in Florida Realtor Magazine by Greg Baker

The media has been pouncing on the downturn in real estate, the high price of insurance and rising real estate taxes. It amazes me how the lemmings are so easily moved to follow the latest sensation, making the downturn a self-fullfulling prophecy.

I keep seeing comparisons of property taxes in various states versus those in Florida; these make Florida look like one of the highest property tax states. But the complete story isn’t being presented.

We must make the media aware of how great a bargain housing is in Florida, especially compared to any other state that has great weather and such a massive coastline.
