Once you determine you believe the property value is to high contact the property appraiser and request a reduction. Their phone number is on your TRIM notices. Forms and information is also available online at the property appraisers website. If you’re not satisfied or want to avoid crowds during the appeal season, you can file a petition with the Value Adjustment Board.
Filing cost is between $15 & $25 you can secure the services of an agent (they usually charge 50% of that savings they acquire for you). Some do charge a flat fee or hourly so ask around. We can help remember Seminole County Petitions for appeal must be filed before September 14,2010.
