The folks in Charlotte N.C. wish they had. April of 2010 they had 15 inches of rain in one 24 hour period. They called it a 500 year storm.

Places that never saw water rising where flooded out. The insurance is cheap if you do not live in a flood zone so take advantage of the extra protection. It is a Federal Insurance program. Floodsmart.gov is a great site for you.
